UN Endorses ICJ Opinion Backing UNRWA As Israel Exposes Agency’s Deep Terror Ties And Global Hypocrisy

As the UN shields Hamas-linked UNRWA, Israel denounces the resolution enabling terror under humanitarian guise.

The UN General Assembly voted Friday to welcome the ICJ’s advisory opinion demanding that Israel “facilitate” humanitarian access into Gaza through UN agencies—including UNRWA, the organization repeatedly exposed for deep operational ties to Hamas.

The vote passed overwhelmingly: 139 in favor, 12 against, and 19 abstentions.
Those opposing the measure included Israel, the United States, and a bloc of countries unwilling to legitimize an agency implicated in terrorism: Argentina, Bolivia, Fiji, Hungary, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, and Tonga.

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, condemned the vote with unmistakable clarity:
“UNRWA = hotbed of terrorism.”

He declared that the UN had adopted a resolution urging Israel to “cooperate with terrorism,” vowing Israel would never comply. Danon reminded the world of what UN officials prefer to ignore:

  • UNRWA staff participated in the October 7 massacre
  • An UNRWA employee kidnapped the body of Yonatan Samerano into Gaza
  • UNRWA facilities were used as Hamas command centers, weapons depots, and hostage sites

Israel’s Foreign Ministry reinforced the message, calling the UNGA a “morally distorted body” for siding with UNRWA-Hamas. It stressed that overwhelming evidence—documents, videos, and operational intelligence—proved direct involvement of UNRWA employees in terror activity.

Jerusalem blasted the UN system for its cynical political theater:
First the UN sought a politicized ICJ opinion, then the General Assembly dutifully rubber-stamped the pre-engineered conclusion, ignoring the atrocities committed by Hamas and its UNRWA accomplices.

Despite Israeli proof, the UN continues protecting the agency whose staff took part in mass murder, hostage handling, and logistical support for Hamas—yet still claims to champion “neutrality.” Even after Israel’s 2024 revelations, the UN’s review panel, led by Catherine Colonna, downplayed the severity of the evidence, admitting only to “neutrality issues.”

While the UN shields Hamas under the façade of humanitarian work, Israel stands as the lone voice demanding accountability.

The vote confirms what Israelis have long understood:
The UN is not a monitor of peace—it is a megaphone for anti-Israel agendas, even when those agendas empower terrorists.
