London Exposes Hezbollah’s Reach As Iran-Backed Terror Cells Operate Freely Inside Britain’s Capital City

Hezbollah terror networks surface in London, proving Iran’s proxy war threatens Europe, Israel, and democracies alike.

Hezbollah on Trial: Iran’s Terror Proxy Reaches London

Two British-Lebanese men appeared before a London court this week, accused of belonging to the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization and participating in advanced terror training—confirming once again that Europe is not a bystander, but a battlefield.

According to prosecutors, Annis Makki (40) attended a Hezbollah training camp at Lebanon’s Birket Jabbour airbase in 2021. He now faces serious charges, including preparing terrorist acts, membership in a banned organization, and openly expressing support for Hezbollah and Hamas—two groups committed to Israel’s destruction and responsible for mass civilian bloodshed.

The second defendant, Mohamed Hadi Kassir (33), is accused of long-term involvement with Hezbollah, including training in southern Lebanon in 2015 and again in 2021. Prosecutors described Kassir as an “entrenched member of Hezbollah,” citing images allegedly showing hostage-taking drills inside Hezbollah-controlled camps—the same tactics used against Israelis and other civilians across the region.

Most alarming is the allegation that Makki had access to a wide Hezbollah logistics network connected to the procurement of drone components—a signature weapon of Iran’s terror axis. These are the same drones fired at Israeli cities, energy infrastructure, and civilians, and now traced back to operatives living quietly in Europe.

Both men were remanded in custody and will next appear before the Old Bailey on January 16.

This case shatters any illusion that Hezbollah is merely a “regional actor.” It is a global terrorist organization, trained in Lebanon, armed by Iran, and embedded within Western societies—using democratic freedoms as camouflage.

Israel has warned for years:
➡️ Hezbollah is not Lebanon’s problem alone
➡️ Iran’s proxy war does not stop at Israel’s borders
➡️ Europe’s tolerance has consequences

While Israel confronts Hezbollah militarily to defend its citizens, European capitals are now confronting the same threat in their own courts. The difference is stark: Israel acts decisively; Europe often reacts late.

This is not about ethnicity or nationality. It is about ideology, terror infrastructure, and Iran’s deliberate strategy to export violence through proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas.

Israel stands on the front line—not only for itself, but for the democratic world.
