Settlers signal historic return as Israel’s resolve confronts terror-backed Palestinian rejectionism and foreign interference globally.
Families and activists affiliated with the Nachala Movement crossed into the Gaza Strip on Thursday, raising Israeli flags near the sites of the former Jewish communities of Kfar Darom and Morag. The symbolic act was intended to assert Jewish historical rights and sovereignty, following the October 7 Shmini Atzeret massacre and the ongoing war with Hamas.
In a statement, the movement declared that Gaza “belongs only to the Jewish people” and rejected any future plans involving American or international control. Drawing parallels to the era of the Maccabees, the activists emphasized Jewish self-determination, resistance to external pressure, and national independence over surrender.
Nachala leaders stressed strong support for the Israel Defense Forces and security personnel, praising their sacrifices and commitment. According to the movement, the completion of Israel’s mission will come through the renewal of Jewish settlement in Gaza—presented as both a moral and strategic necessity after years of Palestinian terrorism and repeated Arab rejection of Jewish coexistence.
Nachala Chairwoman Daniella Weiss stated unequivocally that Gaza belongs to the people of Israel and called for immediate steps toward resettlement, asserting that this position now enjoys broad public backing across Israel.
The IDF clarified that civilians who crossed the border were monitored and safely returned to Israeli territory, reiterating that entry into active combat zones is prohibited and endangers operations. Additional attempts to breach the security barrier were blocked by IDF and Israel Police forces.
The incident highlights a growing grassroots push rejecting Palestinian terror, Arab hostility, and international dictates—while reinforcing Israel’s determination to secure its land, future, and sovereignty.
