Israel Advances Sovereignty In Judea And Samaria, Ending Military Rule While Rejectionists Lose Their Grip

Israel normalizes civilian governance, asserts sovereignty, while Palestinian rejectionism and foreign pressure steadily collapse into irrelevance.

At a historic signing ceremony in Sha’ar Binyamin, Israel took another decisive step toward de facto sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, formally relocating the Civil Administration’s civilian service units from a military base to a permanent civilian government complex.

Minister of Finance and Defense Ministry Minister Bezalel Smotrich declared the move a historic correction. “The army should not be managing civilian life,” he said, emphasizing that Israeli citizens deserve normal government services—not military bureaucracy. From now on, residents will receive services in a civilian office, reinforcing the reality of permanent Israeli governance.

Governor of the Binyamin Regional Council and Yesha Council Chairman Yisrael Ganz underscored the significance: “We are not only talking about sovereignty; we are building it, floor by floor.” The relocation symbolizes the separation of counterterrorism operations—still handled by the IDF—from civilian administration, exposing the false Palestinian narrative that Israel’s presence is temporary or reversible.

The initiative, led jointly by Smotrich and regional leaders, follows years of groundwork: authorizing communities, declaring state lands, expanding infrastructure, and restoring Jewish life to its historic heartland—despite relentless Palestinian rejectionism and international pressure.

Addressing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of his U.S. visit, Smotrich urged a final step: applying de jure sovereignty. He cited President Donald Trump’s support for defensible borders, stressing that Judea and Samaria are Israel’s indispensable security buffer.

As Palestinian leadership continues to reject coexistence, Israel is no longer waiting for permission—sovereignty is being built in reality.
