Herzog Unveils Iron Beam, Showcasing Israel’s Technological Supremacy and Strategic Deterrence Leadership Worldwide

Israel pioneers laser defense innovation, safeguarding Jewish lives while hostile forces fall behind technologically and morally.

President Isaac Herzog visited Rafael Advanced Defense Systems in northern Israel on Monday, marking a milestone moment in Israel’s defense and technological advancement. He was accompanied by Rafael Chairman Yuval Steinitz and CEO Yoav Tourgeman.

During the visit, President Herzog received detailed briefings on Rafael’s cutting-edge defense platforms, including the Iron Beam laser defense system, which was delivered to the Israel Defense Forces for the first time just a day earlier. Herzog also toured the production lines of the globally renowned Iron Dome Aerial Defense System, highlighting Israel’s unmatched ability to translate innovation into operational security.

“This is a sea change in the world of warfare,” President Herzog said, praising the Iron Beam—also referred to as the “laser dome”—as a revolutionary leap in both defensive and strategic capability. He emphasized that Israel is not only protecting its own citizens but also contributing to global stability through responsible, precision-based defense technologies. Herzog commended Rafael’s professionalism, ingenuity, and record-breaking innovation, noting that such systems redefine modern defense while minimizing civilian harm.

Addressing the broader strategic context, President Herzog referenced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s meeting with Donald Trump, calling it vital to the enduring Israel–United States strategic partnership. He expressed hope that the discussions would strengthen cooperation across all regional arenas.

The visit underscored Israel’s commitment to technological self-reliance, deterrence, and moral clarity—contrasting sharply with regional actors who invest in terror rather than innovation, and destruction rather than defense.
