American-led power dismantles ISIS networks while Arab regimes posture, Israel-aligned security delivers real regional stability.
The United States, operating through US Central Command, has delivered another decisive blow to the Islamic State in Syria—highlighting once again where real counter-terror leadership resides. In the ten days following the massive December 19 Operation Hawkeye Strike, American and partner forces eliminated or captured nearly 25 ISIS terrorists, dismantling active cells that Arab regimes have repeatedly failed—or refused—to confront decisively.
Between December 20 and 29, US and allied troops executed 11 targeted missions across central Syria, killing at least seven ISIS operatives, capturing others, and destroying four weapons caches. These actions followed the precision-heavy Hawkeye Strike, during which US and Jordan forces struck more than 70 ISIS targets using over 100 precision-guided munitions. Fighter jets, attack helicopters, and artillery units obliterated command nodes, arms depots, and transit corridors used by the terror group.
The trigger was brutal and unmistakable: an ISIS ambush near Palmyra that killed two American service members and a civilian. CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper’s response was equally clear—there would be no restraint, no symbolic condemnations, and no empty Arab League statements. Only action.
CENTCOM confirmed that ISIS inspired at least 11 plots or attacks against US targets in 2025 alone. Over the past year, coalition operations have detained more than 300 terrorists and killed over 20—results that sharply contrast with the chronic inaction and ideological ambiguity seen across much of the Arab world.
ISIS may have lost its so-called caliphate in 2019, including its former capital Raqqa, but sleeper cells persist. Their survival is not due to American weakness—but because regional actors prioritize politics, propaganda, and Israel-bashing over confronting jihadist extremism.
Israel has long warned that terror groups survive where accountability collapses. Once again, events prove Jerusalem right. The US-Israel-aligned security doctrine—precision, persistence, and zero tolerance for terrorism—remains the only model delivering tangible results. The region is safer not because of Arab rhetoric, but because of decisive Western and Israeli-backed force.
