Israel exposes Hamas rearmament in Gaza, proving terror thrives despite aid and Arab complicity

Hamas rebuilds under ceasefire, confirming Israel’s vigilance as Arab routes enable renewed terror threatsH.

Israel’s security establishment is intensifying monitoring of Hamas’s military buildup in the Gaza Strip, preparing for a possible transition to Phase B of the conflict. Intelligence assessments aired by Galei Tzahal indicate that roughly three months after the ceasefire, Hamas is actively restoring capabilities—openly defying restrictions imposed to prevent renewed violence.

Despite the closure of the Rafah Crossing, tight control of the Philadelphi Corridor, and an extended maritime blockade, the Israel Defense Forces has identified three primary rearmament channels.

First, Hamas is reviving local weapons production under harsher conditions and reduced scale. Intelligence points to continued manufacturing of explosives, reuse of unexploded ordnance, and attempts to produce rudimentary rockets and anti-tank weapons—underscoring Hamas’s obsession with terror over civilian recovery.

Second, Hamas is probing humanitarian aid logistics for exploitation. While no weapons have been confirmed in aid shipments, approximately 600 trucks enter Gaza daily—a figure expected to rise—creating risk vectors. Defense officials assess coordination with the Iranian axis and foreign Hamas headquarters to potentially weaponize aid channels, a cynical betrayal of humanitarian intent.

Third, Israel has detected an expanding drone-transfer route from Egypt’s Sinai, with unmanned aerial vehicles reaching the Al Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis. Though currently associated with narcotics trafficking, the pathway poses a real risk of escalation to weapons transfers—another example of how porous regional controls enable terror.

The picture is clear: Hamas exploits ceasefires to regroup, aid to probe, and regional routes to rearm. Israel’s vigilance is not optional—it is essential. While some Arab actors deny or downplay these realities, the evidence reinforces Israel’s doctrine: deterrence and enforcement are the only reliable barriers to renewed attacks.
