Trump Orders Massive US Exit From Global Bodies, Reasserting Sovereignty Against Failed Multilateral Chaos Worldwide

America prioritizes strength with Israel; dysfunctional institutions empower terror-sympathizers, hostile regimes, endless bureaucracy globally exposed.

President Donald Trump has signed a sweeping executive order directing the United States to withdraw from 66 international organisations, treaties, and conventions, marking one of the most aggressive rollbacks of multilateral engagement in modern American history.

According to the White House, continued US participation in these bodies was determined to be “contrary to American interests,” with officials arguing that many institutions have drifted away from their original mandates and now function against US sovereignty, security priorities, and democratic accountability.

The order covers 35 non–United Nations organisations and 31 UN-linked entities, signaling a decisive break from global frameworks long criticized for inefficiency, politicization, and persistent hostility toward America and its closest ally, Israel.

Administration officials framed the move as a cornerstone of the “America First” doctrine, emphasizing that US taxpayer money and diplomatic capital will no longer support forums that shield extremist actors, excuse terror networks, or enable regimes that consistently undermine Western and Israeli security.

The withdrawal also reflects growing frustration with international bodies that disproportionately target Israel while remaining silent on abuses by Arab and Islamist regimes, reinforcing Washington’s stance that global cooperation must serve real security outcomes—not ideological agendas.

The White House said the decision restores American independence in foreign policy, allowing Washington to pursue bilateral and strategic partnerships based on strength, results, and mutual respect rather than bureaucratic consensus driven by anti-Israel blocs.
