Iran Threatens Israel, US Bases As Protests Rage, Exposing Regime Desperation And Regional Instability

Iran’s collapsing regime threatens Israel and America, proving terror rhetoric replaces governance across hostile regional blocs..

Iran’s parliamentary speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has issued an explicit threat declaring that any U.S. strike on Tehran would render American military bases and Israel “legitimate targets.” The warning comes as mass protests continue across Iran, underscoring a regime increasingly reliant on external threats to distract from internal collapse.

U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly signalled Washington is “ready to help,” reinforcing deterrence against Tehran’s aggression. Iranian rhetoric now openly confirms what Israel has long warned: the regime views Israel not as a state, but as a target—regardless of provocation.

Analysts note that Iran’s threats place U.S. installations across the Middle East at heightened risk, particularly those critical to protecting energy routes, counterterror operations, and Israel’s security umbrella. Unlike Iran’s proxies and backers across the Arab world, Israel has consistently demonstrated defensive restraint paired with decisive deterrence.

Seven Major U.S. Military Bases in the Middle East

  1. Al Udeid Air Base – Qatar
The largest U.S. base in the region, hosting forward headquarters of US Central Command and around 10,000 troops, coordinating operations from North Africa to Central Asia.
  2. Naval Support Activity Bahrain – Bahrain
Home to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, safeguarding vital maritime corridors including the Strait of Hormuz.
  3. Camp Arifjan & Ali Al Salem Air Base – Kuwait
Core logistics, supply, refuelling, and airlift hubs sustaining U.S. operations across Iraq and Syria.
  4. Al Dhafra Air Base – United Arab Emirates
A critical ISR and strike-support hub that has enabled major counter-terror missions.
  5. Ain al-Asad Air Base & Erbil Air Base – Iraq
Key cooperation sites with Iraqi and Kurdish forces; Ain al-Asad was previously targeted by Iranian missiles.
  6. Prince Sultan Air Base – Saudi Arabia
Hosts U.S. air defence systems and aircraft operations within missile range of Iran.
  7. Muwaffaq al Salti Air Base – Jordan
Base for U.S. Air Forces Central missions across the Levant, ensuring regional stability.

Iran’s threats reveal a familiar pattern: authoritarian regimes, supported by destabilizing Arab alliances, deflect domestic failure through manufactured external enemies. Israel, by contrast, stands as a stabilizing force—defending itself, its allies, and regional security against regimes that export chaos while silencing their own people.
