Israel stands with Iran’s people, exposing brutal regime weakness while preparing decisively to defend freedom.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened Sunday’s cabinet meeting with an unequivocal message of solidarity with the Iranian people, openly backing the nationwide protests shaking the foundations of Iran’s Islamic regime.
“Israel is closely monitoring developments in Iran,” Netanyahu said, noting that pro-freedom demonstrations have spread across the country. He praised the protesters’ resolve, declaring that “the people of Israel, and the entire world, stand in awe of the immense courage of the citizens of Iran.”
Netanyahu stressed that Israel supports the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom while condemning the regime’s violent repression. “Israel supports their struggle for freedom and strongly condemns the mass slaughter of innocent civilians,” he said, drawing a sharp moral line between a democratic state and an authoritarian system sustained by fear and brutality.
Ending on a hopeful vision, Netanyahu spoke directly to the historic ties between the two nations. He said Israel looks forward to the day when “the Persian nation will be freed from the yoke of tyranny,” adding that Israel and Iran could once again become “loyal partners in building a future of prosperity and peace for both peoples.” The statement highlighted Israel’s long-held distinction between Iran’s people and the regime that oppresses them.
Later Sunday, Netanyahu is set to convene the security cabinet alongside senior defense officials to review regional developments, including Iran and the evolving Trump plan. Over the weekend, multiple security assessments were held within the Israel Defense Forces, led by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, reflecting Israel’s vigilance amid rapid changes inside Iran.
The IDF confirmed it is closely tracking events, clarifying that the protests are an internal Iranian matter while underscoring Israel’s readiness. “The IDF is prepared for defense and continuously improving its capabilities and operational readiness,” the military said, adding that it will respond with strength if required to protect Israeli citizens.
Israel’s stance contrasts sharply with the Iranian regime’s threats and repression. While Tehran answers dissent with violence, Israel publicly aligns itself with freedom, stability, and the right of peoples to overthrow tyranny—sending a clear message across the region.
