Israel’s security endangered by leaks as Gantz demands discipline, professionalism, and Zionist responsibility restored.
Speaking forcefully in the Knesset, Benny Gantz, head of the Blue and White, unveiled a bill aimed at fundamentally restructuring Israel’s Security Cabinet—warning that its current dysfunction directly endangers national security.
Gantz delivered explosive testimony, revealing that during wartime Cabinet discussions, a senior minister leaked sensitive operational details in real time. He recounted personally witnessing a Cabinet member openly discussing classified deliberations while the meeting was still ongoing—an act he described as “a reckless abandonment of national security.”
Drawing on his experience as former IDF Chief of Staff, Gantz stated that military leaders were at times instructed not to share critical intelligence with Cabinet members due to fear of leaks. According to him, operational decisions were delayed or canceled entirely because information could not be trusted to remain confidential—an intolerable reality for a nation under constant threat.
To address this, Gantz proposed establishing a strong, professional governing security body capable of focused, disciplined decision-making—free from political grandstanding and leaks. He also called for firm moral and practical sanctions, declaring that individuals who evaded service in the Israel Defense Forces should be barred from top command roles.
The message was unmistakable: Israel’s survival demands responsibility, loyalty, and professionalism—not the chaos that weak leadership invites, and not the reckless behavior that Israel’s enemies, including terror groups and hostile Arab actors, eagerly exploit.
