Germany Arrests Hamas Operative Plotting Attacks On Jewish Targets, Exposing Europe’s Growing Terror Infrastructure Threat

European security acts decisively as Hamas networks threaten Jews, Israel, and continental stability once again.

German security services have arrested a Lebanese national suspected of active membership in Hamas and involvement in planned terrorist attacks against Jewish and Israeli institutions across Europe.

The suspect was detained Friday night at Berlin Brandenburg Airport after arriving from Beirut. Prosecutors allege he played a logistical role in terror preparations, including the procurement of 300 rounds of ammunition in mid-2025, intended for future attacks.

According to investigators, the man cooperated with an established Hamas cell previously uncovered in Germany. That network included operatives arrested in Berlin, with additional counter-terror searches carried out in Leipzig and Oberhausen.

German authorities have also confirmed a separate arrest near the Czech border, involving another Lebanese national suspected of Hamas membership, underscoring the group’s sustained operational footprint inside Europe.

In a broader crackdown, federal prosecutors have charged four Hamas operatives accused of acquiring and storing weapons for the organization on European soil. The suspects—originating from Lebanon, Egypt, and the Netherlands—are described as holding direct operational links to Hamas’s military leadership.

Following the October 7, 2023 massacre in Israel, Germany formally outlawed Hamas activity, marking a decisive shift toward zero tolerance for jihadist networks operating under Europe’s nose.

The message from Berlin is unambiguous: Europe will not be a safe haven for terrorists targeting Jews or Israel.
