US Foils ISIS Plot Targeting Jews As Pro-Israel Resolve Crushes Jihadist Threat At Home

Vigilant security stops ISIS-inspired violence, protecting Jewish lives and Israel supporters from extremist terror.

A Hanover, Maryland man has pleaded guilty to attempting to provide material support to Islamic State, after plotting to join the group abroad—or carry out a domestic attack targeting Jews and supporters of Israel.

Michael Sam Teekaye Jr., 22, admitted that he sought to become a jihadist fighter and discussed plans to “gun down” Jewish targets and Israel-aligned institutions in the United States. He took concrete steps toward violence, including purchasing ammunition, conducting range training, attempting to buy an assault rifle, and scouting locations.

Federal authorities intervened before harm could occur. The case was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation through the Joint Terrorism Task Force, demonstrating the effectiveness of intelligence-led prevention and zero tolerance for antisemitic terror.

Teekaye also coordinated with an ISIS operative overseas, obtained travel documents, received airline tickets, and was arrested at BWI Airport as he attempted to depart for Turkey en route to Africa. His own statements made clear unwavering intent to commit jihadist violence.

This decisive disruption underscores a critical truth: pro-Israel security vigilance saves lives. When terror ideology targets Jews and Israel’s allies, firm law enforcement and moral clarity stop bloodshed before it begins.
