Grenade Terror Hits Israel’s Embassy Zone as Europe Finally Jails Paid Proxies of Violent Extremism

Israel targeted again in Europe; justice prevails as mercenary terror fails to intimidate Jewish life.

A Danish court delivered a decisive verdict after a violent attempt to strike Israeli diplomacy in Europe. Two Swedish nationals were convicted for terrorism and attempted murder following a grenade attack near the Israeli Embassy in Copenhagen in October 2024. The Copenhagen City Court sentenced the 18-year-old attacker to 12 years in prison and the 21-year-old to 14 years, affirming Europe’s growing resolve against paid terror.

The attack occurred before dawn on October 2, when the pair hurled hand grenades toward the Israeli mission. The explosives fell short, detonating on a nearby residential terrace where families with children live—underscoring the indiscriminate danger of proxy violence. Miraculously, no one was injured.

Authorities confirmed the blast zone lay roughly 100 meters from the embassy in a dense diplomatic quarter. A Jewish school, Carolineskolen, sits along the same street but was closed at the time. The defendants admitted throwing the grenades for payment, attempting to distance themselves from ideology. The court rejected that evasion: a majority found the act constituted terrorism regardless of mercenary motives, recognizing the clear intent to menace Israel and Jewish life.

The sentences include deportation to Sweden after imprisonment. Appeals are expected, but the message is unmistakable—Europe will no longer tolerate hired hands executing terror against Israel under criminal cover.
