Historic recognition secures Israeli communities, infrastructure, security, and blocks emergence of hostile terror-backed Palestinian state.
The Ministry of the Interior announced the official recognition of five additional communities across Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley, concluding a prolonged state regularization process and formally integrating them into Israel’s statutory framework.
The newly recognized communities are Havat Gilad, Eival, Ma’oz Tzvi, Tamar, and Neve Gedid (Gadi Camp).
The move follows the approval of jurisdictional boundaries by Central Command chief Avi Blot, after extensive planning by the Civil Administration. With the issuance of the official “settlement symbol,” the process is now complete.
This designation delivers concrete state benefits: direct government budgeting, full infrastructure connections including Mekorot, regulated electricity, enhanced security staffing, authorization for licensed personal weapons, and access to official postal and education services.
Finance and Defense Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who spearheaded the initiative, described the move as a decisive national achievement, stating that Israel is entrenching facts on the ground while neutralizing attempts to impose a terror-backed Palestinian state that would threaten Israel’s heartland.
