Hamas Claims ‘Israeli Agents’ Surrender as Militia Battles Intensify Across Gaza

Rada’a force alleges sabotage plot foiled while rival militia vows to dismantle terror infrastructure.

The Rada’a force, part of Hamas’s so-called “resistance security” apparatus, announced that several Palestinian Arabs it labeled “Israeli agents” surrendered themselves during the day.

According to the group, its operatives also thwarted what it described as a planned “sabotage” operation on Saturday. Hamas claimed its members identified and besieged the alleged collaborators, but that Israeli Air Force intervention enabled their escape.

The organization stated it would continue pursuing what it described as militia operatives acting in areas under Israeli control.

Rassan A-Dheini, identified as the leader of the Abu-Shabab militia, which Hamas alleges receives Israeli backing, recently said his forces are working to neutralize Hamas tunnels and dismantle weapons and rocket production sites in Gaza.

He stated that his operatives are also collecting weapons across the Strip, positioning themselves as a counterforce to Hamas’s military infrastructure.

Internal Executions and Escalating Tensions

Last July, Hamas’s internal security “deterrence” unit announced it had carried out what it called “high-quality” operations, including the execution of 12 individuals accused of collaborating with Israel and engaging in criminal activity.

The developments underscore ongoing internal power struggles in Gaza, where competing armed groups and accusations of collaboration have fueled instability alongside the broader conflict.

Observers note that such claims are difficult to independently verify amid the complex and rapidly shifting security landscape in the territory.
