Massive Cannabis Lab Uncovered in Bnei Brak Apartment as Police Arrest Two Suspects

Major drug bust in Bnei Brak reveals large-scale cannabis operation and cocaine seizure.

Detectives from the Israel Police Bnei Brak–Ramat Gan station carried out a court-authorized raid Sunday at an apartment on Dangur Street in Bnei Brak, uncovering what authorities described as a large-scale drug manufacturing laboratory.

156 Cannabis Plants Seized

Inside the apartment, officers discovered a fully equipped indoor cultivation setup allegedly used to grow and manufacture illegal narcotics. Police reported seizing 156 cannabis plants with a combined weight of approximately 31 kilograms.

The sophisticated setup included lighting, irrigation systems, and ventilation equipment typically associated with high-output indoor cultivation operations.

Cocaine Found in Nearby Vehicle

In addition to the cannabis plants, officers searched a vehicle parked adjacent to the property and found 10 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine.

Two suspects — a 25-year-old resident of Bnei Brak and a 24-year-old from Rehovot — were arrested at the scene. They were taken for questioning and later remanded in custody.

A court extended their detention until February 26 as the investigation continues.

Apartment Ordered Shut

Tel Aviv District Commander Haim Sargrof signed an administrative closure order for the apartment, mandating it remain sealed for 30 days, until March 23.

Police stated that operations targeting drug manufacturing networks will continue across the district as part of ongoing enforcement efforts aimed at dismantling illegal distribution channels.
