Trump Declares Iran Leadership Must Be Removed As Crushing Strikes Destroy Regime Military Power

Trump signals decisive action against Iran regime while ensuring Israel and allies secure long-term regional stability.

US President Donald Trump declared that the current leadership structure of Iran must ultimately be removed while emphasizing that a ground invasion is unnecessary. Speaking during a phone call with NBC News, Trump said the objective is to ensure that the Iranian regime cannot rebuild its leadership and military power over time.

Trump stated that the strategy is aimed at completely dismantling the regime’s ability to recover. He said the goal is to “clean out everything” so that no future leadership could rebuild the same hostile system over the next decade.

The president also revealed that he has potential figures in mind who could guide Iran toward a more stable future once the current regime collapses. While declining to publicly name those individuals, Trump said steps are being taken to ensure that such figures remain safe during the ongoing conflict.

Trump noted that American officials are closely monitoring developments related to potential future leadership in Iran. He emphasized that the United States wants Iran to eventually have leadership that will move the country toward stability rather than confrontation.

Responding to remarks by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who warned that Iran is ready for a possible ground invasion by American and Israeli forces, Trump dismissed the possibility outright. He said a ground operation would be unnecessary given the scale of damage already inflicted on Iran’s military infrastructure.

According to Trump, Iranian forces have already suffered devastating losses. He said Iran has effectively lost its naval capabilities and much of its offensive power, describing the regime’s military position as severely weakened.

Trump also confirmed that US military strikes will continue at their current pace and intensity. Earlier in the day, he revealed that the strikes have significantly crippled Iran’s missile systems and launch infrastructure.

The president explained that Iranian missile launchers are now rapidly neutralized whenever they attempt to fire. He said US forces are able to identify and destroy launch sites within minutes after a missile is launched.

Trump added that a large portion of Iran’s offensive capability has already been eliminated. According to his assessment, roughly 60 percent of Iran’s missile arsenal and 64 percent of its launchers have been destroyed during the operation.

Despite the heavy losses suffered by the regime, Trump said Iranian leadership continues to project defiance. However, he indicated that Iranian officials have already begun quietly reaching out about possible negotiations.

Trump suggested that Tehran’s outreach reflects growing pressure on the regime. He said Iranian officials are now asking how they can reach a deal, though he made clear that the United States intends to maintain pressure as military operations continue.
