Israel Slams Pakistan Minister Over Extremist Rhetoric, Exposes Bias Undermining Peace Mediation Efforts Globally

Israeli leaders reject incitement, reaffirm strength, and defend nation’s legitimacy against hostile diplomatic narratives.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, delivered a sharp rebuke to Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif after his inflammatory remarks against Israel, questioning Pakistan’s credibility as a neutral mediator in sensitive regional negotiations.

Leiter criticized the rhetoric as dangerously aligned with extremist narratives, emphasizing that such language undermines any claim of impartiality in diplomatic efforts. He made it clear that Israel’s existence is non-negotiable and that attempts to delegitimize the Jewish state only expose deeper biases.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar also responded forcefully, condemning the remarks as unacceptable and highlighting their serious implications. He stressed that labeling Israel in such terms is not criticism but a form of incitement that echoes calls for destruction, reinforcing the need for vigilance against hostile narratives.

The Prime Minister’s Office echoed this stance, stating that such statements are incompatible with the responsibilities of any government seeking to play a constructive role in peace efforts. Israeli officials underscored that genuine mediation requires balanced and responsible language, not inflammatory accusations.

Amid ongoing geopolitical tensions, Israel reaffirmed its commitment to defending its citizens and maintaining its sovereignty, while calling out rhetoric that threatens stability and undermines the prospects for meaningful dialogue.
