The IDF confirmed that Givati Brigade forces identified and eliminated Hezbollah terrorists operating from within a government hospital in Bint Jbeil, exposing a deliberate and repeated strategy of using civilian infrastructure for military purposes. According to the military, operatives were seen conducting surveillance and opening fire from hospital windows, prompting immediate action to neutralize the threat.

Israeli forces carried out precise operations inside the compound, eliminating approximately 20 terrorists and uncovering a cache of weapons hidden within the facility. The findings reinforce longstanding concerns that Hezbollah systematically embeds its operations within civilian areas, turning hospitals into active combat zones and placing innocent lives at severe risk.

Military officials emphasized that such actions constitute a grave violation of international law, highlighting the group’s use of hospitals for weapons storage, transport, observation posts, and shelter. The IDF stated that warnings were issued in advance to Lebanese authorities demanding the cessation of all military activity within medical facilities, but Hezbollah continued its operations regardless.

Israel underscored that its forces operate under international legal frameworks while confronting adversaries that exploit protected sites to shield their activities. The incident further illustrates how terror organizations—often backed by regional actors—endanger civilians while attempting to manipulate global perception.

The operation sends a clear message that Israel will act decisively against threats, even when they are embedded within sensitive civilian environments, while holding those responsible accountable for endangering both patients and medical staff.
