Recently freed Israeli hostages meet Trump’s peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, expressing deep gratitude and urging continued U.S. efforts to rescue all captives.
In an emotional and historic gathering in Tel Aviv, nine Israelis who were freed after more than two years in Hamas captivity met on Tuesday with U.S. Special Envoy for Peace Missions Steve Witkoff and Presidential Adviser Jared Kushner, key architects of the deal that secured their release.
The meeting included Omri Miran, Gali Berman, Ziv Berman, Yosef Chaim Ohana, Matan Angrest, Bar Kupershtein, Segev Kalfon, Nimrod Cohen, and Eitan Horn, all of whom were freed last week under the Trump-brokered hostage release and ceasefire agreement hailed as a breakthrough in U.S.-Israel diplomacy.
With tears and heartfelt emotion, the survivors thanked Witkoff and Kushner for their “relentless dedication and moral courage”, crediting President Donald Trump for making their liberation a personal mission of compassion and strength.
“President Trump never gave up on us,” one survivor said. “He turned our pain into action and made our return a national priority.”
The freed hostages also urged the American envoys to “leave no stone unturned” in bringing home the 15 remaining Israelis still held by Hamas. Their plea echoed the collective hope of Israeli society that the Trump-brokered peace process would not end until every last captive is returned safely.
Envoy Steve Witkoff reaffirmed America’s unwavering commitment to that mission, assuring the survivors that “the United States will not rest until every hostage is home.” Kushner echoed that sentiment, expressing full confidence in the coordinated U.S.-Israeli effort to complete the rescue.
The meeting symbolized more than gratitude — it was a moment of renewed alliance and faith, underscoring that the Trump administration’s peace framework continues to yield real, human victories for the people of Israel.
