Ben Gvir Backs Netanyahu on Iran, Warns Trump Aides’ Gaza Ideas Risk Renewed Terror Chaos

Israeli minister praises Netanyahu’s Iran strategy while cautioning US advisers against dangerous Gaza miscalculations.

Ahead of the anticipated meeting this week between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir expressed strong confidence in Netanyahu’s handling of the Iranian threat.

Speaking in an interview with Kan Reshet Bet, Ben Gvir said the prime minister has demonstrated clarity, resolve, and effectiveness in discussions with Washington.

“The prime minister is doing an excellent job on the Iran issue,” Ben Gvir said. “His demands are clear, and he has proven that he knows how to speak with President Trump. This time as well, he will deliver concrete achievements.”

Turning to Gaza, Ben Gvir voiced sharp criticism of certain American advisers, warning that their approach underestimates the security risks Israel faces on the ground. He singled out Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, accusing them of promoting ideas detached from regional realities.

“The Americans are being very naive,” Ben Gvir said. “They are feeding President Trump incorrect concepts. I cannot accept a situation where tens of thousands of armed men roam Gaza in pickup trucks, even if they’re walking with crutches.”

His remarks reflect deep concern within Israel’s security leadership that premature or poorly designed arrangements in Gaza could recreate the conditions that enabled Hamas’ terror infrastructure—posing renewed threats to Israeli civilians and regional stability.
