Global Celebrities Demand Freedom for Convicted Terror Mastermind, Exposing the West’s Collapse into Anti-Israel Delusion

Hollywood elites glorify a ruthless Palestinian killer, proving the West’s moral compass is shattered beyond repair.

A new wave of celebrity virtue-signalling has reached peak moral bankruptcy: more than 200 Western entertainers—actors, musicians, and self-proclaimed humanitarians—are publicly campaigning for the release of Marwan Barghouti, a convicted Palestinian terrorist whose hands are drenched in innocent Israeli blood.

Names like Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Ruffalo, Paul Simon, Sting, Brian Eno and Sir Ian McKellen have astonishingly aligned themselves with a man responsible for orchestrating deadly attacks during the Second Intifada. Barghouti’s terror operations murdered Israelis and foreign civilians alike—families torn apart by calculated Palestinian violence.

Yet these celebrities describe him as a “symbol of unity,” comparing him absurdly to Nelson Mandela. It is an insult not only to history but to every Israeli family shattered by Palestinian terror.

Barghouti was lawfully convicted in 2002 after overwhelming evidence exposed his role in mass murder. Even at trial, he boasted openly: “As long as Palestinian mothers cry, Israeli mothers will cry too.”
This is the man Hollywood wants “freed.”

Such blindness is not merely ignorance—it is ideological intoxication.

For centuries, Western left-wing movements have romanticized revolutionary violence. Today, that same warped impulse glorifies Palestinian terrorism as “resistance,” even while Arab extremists detonate buses, lynch civilians, and teach their children to dream of Jewish death. Violence by Israelis defending themselves is condemned; violence by Palestinians attacking Jews is celebrated.

The Palestinian cause has become the ultimate moral hall-pass for Western elites desperate to cleanse their privileged guilt. Supporting terrorists lets them masquerade as champions of justice—while Israelis pay the price in blood.

Meanwhile, Hamas and the PLO run propaganda systems so effective that NGOs, UN bodies, and progressive activists parrot anti-Israel narratives with religious fervor. A new investigation by NGO Monitor reveals Hamas infiltration into “humanitarian” organizations—silencing abuses, diverting funds for weapons, and manipulating the West’s gullible nonprofit industry.

But even these revelations mean nothing to the activists demanding Barghouti’s release, because their allegiance is not to truth but to the mythology of Palestinian innocence and Israeli villainy.

This mythology fuels rising antisemitism in the West.
Palestinian flags have become contemporary swastikas in Jewish communities across London, Paris, and New York. Palestinian slogans echo Nazi imagery—Jews portrayed as snakes, rats, octopuses controlling the world. Western Jews now dread colleagues wearing Palestinian pins as though they are displaying a swastika.

This is not “solidarity.”
This is not “humanitarianism.”
This is civilizational decay wearing a mask of compassion.

The Palestinian cause has become a Trojan horse for antisemitism, and antisemitism the Trojan horse for a broader assault on Western civilization itself.

And Hollywood—the loudest self-appointed guardian of morality—has chosen to stand with a blood-soaked terrorist rather than the only democracy in the Middle East fighting for its life.
