Israel Allies Foundation Launches Six New African Caucuses, Signaling a Growing Faith-Based Alliance with Israel
The Israel Allies Foundation (IAF) has announced the formation of six new Israel Allies Caucuses across Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Seychelles, Gabon, and Guinea Conakry, marking a significant expansion of its faith-based diplomatic network across Africa. The move strengthens strategic, economic, and moral partnerships between Israel and the African continent.
The announcement follows the momentum of the Africa-Israel Parliamentary Summit held in Addis Ababa in September 2024, where over 40 lawmakers from 20 African nations gathered to affirm Israel’s right to exist, recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s undivided capital, and commit to expanding bilateral cooperation.
This diplomatic milestone comes in the aftermath of the 12 Days War between Israel and Iran, which catalyzed renewed expressions of international support for Israel and reenergized calls for values-driven partnerships rooted in mutual interests.
Bishop Dennis Nthumbi, African Director of the Israel Allies Foundation, highlighted the spiritual dimension of the alliance:
“Let the world take note: Africa stands with Israel, not as a political bloc, but as a family restored. Together, we declare: ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may those who love you be secure’ (Psalm 122:6).”
The growth of Israel Allies Caucuses across Africa underscores a shared commitment to collaboration in key areas including agriculture, innovation, climate resilience, counterterrorism, and technology. African lawmakers consistently cite alignment with Israel’s biblical values, democratic principles, and development goals as the foundation of this partnership.
Hon. Dorcas Nema Dione, Chair of the Guinea Conakry Israel Allies Caucus, stated:
“The principles of justice, peace, and mutual respect that underpin your mission resonate fully with my personal beliefs and political commitments. Interfaith dialogue and sincere partnerships can deliver lasting stability and respond to the deep aspirations of our peoples.”
Reverend MP Paul Pusetso Masiu, Chair of the Lesotho Israel Allies Caucus, added:
“I seek to deepen and broaden my nation’s relationship with Israel, the nation of God. The ultimate intention is to build strong binational ties — including the establishment of embassies in Jerusalem and Lesotho.”
Anticipation is also building around the prospect of trilateral cooperation between Africa, Israel, and the United States, particularly under the Trump administration. Many parliamentarians see this as an opportunity to expand on the Abraham Accords and unlock new development initiatives spanning faith, security, and prosperity.
Josh Reinstein, President of the Israel Allies Foundation, called the creation of the six new caucuses “more than a diplomatic milestone.”
“It is a powerful affirmation of our shared Biblical values and a forward-looking vision for partnership, prosperity, and peace. This is faith-based diplomacy in action — uniting nations around common moral principles and a mutual commitment to stand with Israel.”
With more than 50 pro-Israel parliamentary caucuses worldwide, the Israel Allies Foundation continues to lead efforts to mobilize global political support for Israel through a shared framework of faith and values.
