Washington and Israel force Iran toward surrender, reopening Hormuz while preserving decisive nuclear red lines..
US President Donald Trump said Thursday that the war with Iran has ended, declaring that Tehran has agreed never to develop or acquire a nuclear weapon as part of the emerging deal.
Speaking during a virtual tele-rally for Georgia gubernatorial candidate Burt Jones, Trump said Iran had accepted the central American demand. He stressed that preventing Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon was the main purpose of the campaign and the most important element of the agreement.
Trump later told reporters in the Oval Office that he understands Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has approved the deal. Asked why he believes an agreement will finally be signed, Trump said Iran has taken a severe pounding and now wants a deal more than Washington does.
The president emphasized that Iran will not be permitted, in any way, to build or purchase a nuclear weapon.
Reports from regional media said the developing framework includes extending the ceasefire by at least 60 days, clearing naval mines, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping within 30 days.
The agreement would also reportedly allow Iran to sell and export oil, while sanctions relief would be reviewed in phases. Nuclear negotiations would continue during the 60-day period, alongside a broader ceasefire across all fronts.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the memorandum of understanding is in advanced stages and nearly finalized, though not yet fully completed or officially approved. Iranian media also claimed Tehran has not compromised on its red lines.
For Israel and America, the decisive test remains clear: Iran must not use diplomacy to rebuild, stall, or preserve a path to nuclear weapons.
