In an emotional post on Instagram, he wrote: “A birthday at home, who would have believed it? Thank you for the privilege to celebrate my birthday at home alongside my family and friends. God, thank you for my miracle.”
“Thank you for a time of true learning, for the understanding that nothing is more important than life itself. Family, love, and the ability to overcome any difficulty. I am not only celebrating another year but also the privilege to continue living, to continue dreaming, and to rebuild life.”
Elia was captured together with Or Levy and Hersh Goldberg-Polin. Ziv, Elia’s fiancee, hid under bodies for about 3 hours.
