Ambassador Huckabee and Israeli Officials Stand Firmly Behind Netanyahu in Court Amid National Security Alert

US Ambassador Mike Huckabee and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana made a bold show of support for PM Netanyahu at his trial, as a sudden Syrian security alert briefly interrupted proceedings.

In an extraordinary display of international and domestic backing, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee made a rare appearance at the Tel Aviv District Court today (Wednesday) to support Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his ongoing trial. His visit underscored unwavering American support for the Israeli leader amid complex political and security challenges.

Joining Huckabee in a clear act of solidarity was Knesset Speaker MK Amir Ohana, who also attended the hearing to visibly express his support for Netanyahu.

The courtroom moment turned even more dramatic when Netanyahu’s military secretary, Major General Roman Gofman, unexpectedly entered the court and delivered a sealed envelope to the Prime Minister. Recognizing the urgency, Netanyahu immediately requested a recess, telling the judges:
“My military secretary came here, I need to see him immediately. This is rare, he doesn’t come here at all.”
The judges promptly agreed, recognizing the gravity of the situation.

A senior political source later confirmed that the matter involved critical security developments on the Syrian front requiring Netanyahu’s direct intervention.

In tandem with his visit, Huckabee also issued a fiery tweet condemning Ireland’s move to criminalize imports from Judea, Samaria, and East Jerusalem. His message was unambiguous: strong nations do not turn their backs on allies under pressure.

Today’s courtroom events reflect not only a pivotal legal moment but also the strength of Netanyahu’s alliances—domestic and international—at a time when both political resolve and national security are being tested.
