A fearless mother in Neve Yaakov thwarted a home invasion with swift action, forcing out a foreign intruder before harm could be done.
A dramatic break-in shook Jerusalem’s Neve Yaakov neighborhood on Sunday, as a foreign man illegally entered a family’s home through an unlocked door—only to be bravely repelled by a mother acting alone.
The attempted intrusion occurred in the older Kamenitz section of Neve Yaakov, where the suspect slipped into a residential apartment undetected. Some family members were present when the trespasser entered, but it was the mother of the household who immediately confronted him.
With remarkable composure and courage, she managed to expel the intruder from the home before he could cause injury or steal any belongings. Thanks to her quick response, the situation ended without physical harm.
Following the confrontation, the woman promptly alerted the police. Responding officers recorded her full account, canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses, and conducted searches in an attempt to track down the suspect. Several neighbors were interviewed, but as of now, the intruder remains at large.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and urged residents to secure their homes and report any suspicious activity immediately.
