In a bold and high-stakes military sweep, IDF forces from the elite 401st Brigade, operating under the 162nd Division, uncovered a Hamas weapons stash hidden inside a former school and dismantled a sprawling terror tunnel near the Jabaliya area in northern Gaza.
The operation, part of an ongoing IDF campaign to neutralize Hamas infrastructure, targeted the compound that once functioned as the “Al-Rafai” school—now repurposed by Hamas as a cover for storing arms and planning attacks.
“Terrorists had turned a center of learning into a launchpad for death,” a military source stated. “We found weapons stockpiles in a school and destroyed a 400-meter-long underground tunnel, dangerously close to civilian areas.”
💣 Underground Terror Network Exposed
As part of the operation, IDF engineers dismantled a fortified Hamas tunnel running beneath the area—part of the group’s extensive underground infrastructure used to move fighters and weapons while avoiding detection.
In addition to the tunnel, troops razed military installations from which terror cells had been launching attacks on Israeli forces, including ambushes aimed at troops stationed near the Gaza border.
