Orthodox Rabbis Condemn Massacre of Druze in Syria: ‘Echoes of Nazi Brutality’ as CJV Urges Global Action

The Coalition for Jewish Values denounces the slaughter of Druze civilians in southern Syria, calling on world leaders to join Israel in humanitarian and military support.

“Never Again” in Syria: Orthodox Jewish Coalition Slams Massacre of Druze, Urges Global Intervention

In a powerful and emotional statement on Monday, the Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV)—representing over 2,500 Orthodox and traditional rabbis—issued a forceful condemnation of what it calls a modern-day atrocity unfolding against Druze civilians and clergy in southern Syria.

The CJV identified local Bedouin Muslims, reportedly backed by Syrian military forces under new regime leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, as the perpetrators of a string of grisly murders, including the killing of American citizen Hosam Saraya.

“The slaughter of innocent Druze for the ‘sin’ of being non-Muslim must be condemned by all who seek to live in a better world,” declared Rabbi Moshe B. Parnes, CJV’s Southern Regional Vice President.

🕯️ Echoes of the Holocaust

Rabbi Parnes drew a chilling historical parallel to the Holocaust:

“These atrocities recall the worst of Nazi brutalities, when German troops, aided by civilians, hunted Jews for simply existing. What is happening in Syria is horrifyingly similar—a targeted genocide of minorities.”

🇮🇱 Israel Commended for Action and Aid

The rabbinical coalition praised Israel’s swift military and humanitarian response, singling out Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his leadership in working to shield Druze communities from further bloodshed.

“We commend the Israeli government for both its forceful military efforts and humanitarian outreach to protect the Druze,” CJV stated, calling Israel a “moral lighthouse in a region of darkness.”

🌍 Global Call to Action

The Coalition urged President Donald Trump, the United Nations, and governments of all civilized nations to stand beside Israel in this moment of crisis:

“The world must not stay silent. It must provide military protection, medical support, and humanitarian relief to the besieged Druze and other minority groups under assault in Syria.”

Their appeal reflects growing concerns that Syria’s minority populations—including Christians and Druze—face a renewed campaign of extermination amid the nation’s continuing chaos.

🚨 The Stakes:

  • Dozens of Druze clergy and civilians reportedly massacred
  • American citizen among those killed
  • Syrian military and Bedouin forces implicated
  • Calls for U.S. and international intervention escalating
