Netanyahu to Hostage Families: ‘Hamas is the Only Obstacle – We Will Not Relent

Prime Minister Netanyahu vows unwavering efforts to bring hostages home, blaming Hamas for blocking all progress despite relentless Israeli attempts and mediation efforts

In a direct and emotional video address to the families of hostages still held in Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reassured them Tuesday evening that Israel remains fully committed to securing the return of their loved ones.

“Since our delegation returned from Qatar, we have not stopped trying,” Netanyahu said. “There have been meetings yesterday, the day before, and the day before that. We are leaving no stone unturned.”

The prime minister identified one clear barrier to any breakthrough — Hamas’s stubborn refusal to release the captives.

“There is one big obstacle, and everyone knows it — Hamas. They persist in their refusal. President Trump has said it. Special Envoy Witkoff has said it. We are saying it. The mediators know it. Everyone who knows the facts understands this reality,” he stressed.

Netanyahu underscored that Israel’s determination is unwavering, declaring that the government will continue pursuing every possible avenue, whether diplomatic or military.

“We are not relenting,” he vowed. “We will continue to do everything we can, one way or another. We are committed to bringing them back.”

The statement comes amid mounting public pressure and continued high-stakes negotiations, as families of hostages demand faster action while Hamas remains entrenched in its demands.
