They Had a State — It Was Gaza”: US Ambassador Mike Huckabee Blasts Hamas, Media Lies, and Europe’s Naïveté

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee accuses Hamas of weaponizing Gaza’s suffering, condemns Western media “disinformation,” and warns that recognizing a Palestinian state would reward terror.

Jerusalem — US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee is heading to Gaza at President Trump’s request to see the humanitarian situation firsthand, accusing the international press of spreading Hamas-fed propaganda and warning against rewarding terrorism with statehood recognition.

Speaking to radio host Scott Jennings ahead of the visit, Huckabee said the mission’s purpose was clear: “The president wants us to go see firsthand and report back to him directly.” The delegation will inspect food distribution centers and areas Western media have labeled as famine-stricken.

Hamas’ Crisis Playbook: Manufacture Misery

“There has been so much misinformation,” Huckabee said. “We see a very different picture of Gaza than what’s in the New York Times or other outlets. The fastest way to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is for Hamas to surrender and release the hostages.”

Huckabee accused European governments of empty moralizing, pointing out that “not one of those countries whining about Gaza has sent a single box of food.”

Billions for Tunnels, Not for the People

The ambassador described Hamas’ underground network as “larger than the London Underground” — a monument, he said, to how billions in aid were diverted from civilian needs to terrorist infrastructure.

He credited President Trump’s Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) with delivering over 100 million meals, and dismissed claims of mass deaths at aid sites as “not true — media echo chambers repeating Hamas disinformation.”

Proof of Hamas Looting

Huckabee said Hamas steals and resells humanitarian supplies — making the GHF’s direct aid distribution the first time many Gazans “didn’t have to pay for food.”

He cited numerous cases of Western outlets using miscaptioned or outdated images to depict Gaza today, calling it “outright disinformation.”

Beyond Politics: A Spiritual War

“This isn’t just geopolitical,” Huckabee argued. “It’s a combination of antisemitism and a deeper spiritual problem. If you’re angry at God, if you worship the creation instead of the Creator, you will naturally direct hatred toward the people who have represented God for 3,800 years.”

He accused critics of ignoring Israel’s achievements while reviving ancient blood libels. “The Israelis built a thriving society in a tiny sliver of land. But for some, blaming the Jews for everything is still the oldest game in town.”

‘They Had a State — It Was Gaza’

Turning to European recognition of a Palestinian state, Huckabee scoffed: “They had one. It was called Gaza. How did that work out?” He warned such recognition rewards terrorism and undermines any path to real peace.

Trump’s Unyielding Stand

Huckabee concluded with praise for President Trump’s clear and consistent stance: “Hamas must surrender and release the hostages — only then will the crisis end.”
