Holocaust Survivor Injured in Iranian Missile Strike Dies at 91 in Rehovot

Olga Weisberg, a 91-year-old Holocaust survivor wounded in June’s Iranian missile attack, dies suddenly at her home in Rehovot.

In a poignant and tragic turn of events, Olga Weisberg, a 91-year-old Holocaust survivor from Rehovot, passed away suddenly on Saturday, just months after being seriously injured in a devastating Iranian missile strike on Israel.

Emergency responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) rushed to Weisberg’s home after she collapsed, but despite all efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

While initial reports have yet to determine if her death was directly linked to the injuries she sustained during the June attack, the incident underscores the lingering human toll of Iran’s missile assault — a strike that left multiple Israeli civilians wounded and traumatized.

Weisberg’s life was a testament to resilience. Having survived the horrors of the Holocaust, she rebuilt her life in Israel, only to face violence once again in her final year. Her passing has stirred deep sorrow in her community, where she was known for her strength and kindness.

Her funeral is scheduled for 5:00 PM today at the Gorodiski Cemetery in Rehovot, where friends, family, and fellow survivors will gather to bid farewell to a woman who endured — and overcame — history’s darkest chapters.
