Two Terror Plots Foiled in 24 Hours: Israeli Forces Arrest Suspects in Qalandiya and Ra’anana

In a dramatic 24-hour counterterror sweep, Israeli security forces thwarted two suspected attacks — a Gaza man armed with a knife at Qalandiya checkpoint and a Tulkarm resident allegedly plotting an assault in central Israel.

Israeli security forces successfully neutralized two potential terror threats within a single day, underscoring the relentless vigilance on the nation’s frontlines.

Pre-Dawn Arrest at Qalandiya Checkpoint
Early Thursday, a Gaza resident was arrested after allegedly attempting to carry out a stabbing attack at the heavily guarded Qalandiya crossing. The suspect, who approached the checkpoint on foot, drew the attention of stationed forces. When approached, he reportedly pulled out a knife and lunged at them.
The troops swiftly enacted suspect apprehension protocols, subduing him without injuries to the security personnel.

Covert Operation in Ra’anana
Just hours earlier, on Wednesday, Central District Police, supported by Yasam tactical units, tracked down a resident of Tulkarm believed to be planning a terror attack in Israel. The suspect was located using advanced technological tracking tools and arrested at a construction site in Ra’anana.
Police say the swift action prevented a possible large-scale attack, and the suspect is currently undergoing intensive questioning.

Authorities warn that the back-to-back arrests highlight persistent security threats and the need for constant intelligence-led operations to safeguard civilians.
