A Bedouin Arab teenager from southern Israel faces indictment after a covert police probe found he spread Hamas propaganda and incited terrorism on social media.
A 19-year-old Bedouin Arab from southern Israel has been formally indicted for supporting Hamas and inciting terrorism, following a covert investigation by Negev District police.
According to authorities, the suspect repeatedly posted pro-Hamas material on social media, including:
- Quotes from Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida
- Posts mourning the deaths of terrorists
- Anti-Israel propaganda videos glorifying violence
The indictment charges him with four counts of incitement to terrorism and expressing identification with a terrorist organization. Police prosecutors have requested that he remain in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings, citing the seriousness of the offenses.
Law enforcement stressed that such acts — even online — pose a direct threat to Israeli security by spreading extremist ideology and legitimizing terrorism.
The case underscores Israel’s zero-tolerance stance toward incitement, especially amid the ongoing war with Hamas.
