Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife met Sabine Taasa, who lost her husband and son in the October 7 massacre, thanking her for helping share harrowing footage abroad to reveal Hamas’s brutality.
On Thursday night, 28 August 2025, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara met with Sabine Taasa, a widow who lost her husband and son during the October 7 Hamas massacre at Netiv Ha’asara.
Taasa shared with Mrs. Netanyahu the painful story of her surviving children, who were also wounded, and updated on the family’s ongoing rehabilitation process.
As part of Israel’s global public diplomacy effort, Netanyahu and Taasa jointly approved the release of a graphic section of security camera footage showing the atrocities committed in her family’s home. The video, described as “very difficult to watch,” is being distributed internationally to underscore the savagery of Hamas’s crimes and to make clear that Israel will never allow such horrors to be repeated.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife expressed deep gratitude to Sabine Taasa for her courage in allowing the footage to be shared, recognizing the profound personal pain involved.
“Israel will continue to fight until Hamas is defeated and every hostage is returned home,” the Prime Minister declared.
At the request of the Taasa family, and out of respect for the privacy of the injured minors, the video will not be circulated within Israel. Authorities asked both the media and the public to honor this request.
The release highlights the human cost of October 7 while reinforcing Israel’s message to the world: Hamas’s atrocities cannot be ignored — and they will never be allowed to happen again.
