President Herzog at Shaare Zedek: “In the Face of Absolute Evil, Israel Will Prevail”

Visiting victims of the Ramot terror attack, President Isaac Herzog condemned the attackers as “absolute evil,” expressed faith in Israel’s resilience, and prayed for the return of the hostages.

Hours after the Ramot Junction terror attack that left seven dead and many wounded, President Isaac Herzog visited survivors at Shaare Zedek Medical Centre on Monday evening.

Accompanied by his wife, Michal, Herzog met families of the injured, offering comfort and solidarity.

“People going about their daily lives, on their way to work, to teach, were murdered in cold blood,” the President said. “What we are seeing is absolute evil. And in the face of absolute evil, we must continue to fight with all our strength. Israel is a strong country. Am Yisrael Chai!

Herzog praised the courage of families who continue to hope and pray, and lauded Israel’s medical teams:

“I have full confidence in our doctors, carers, and in this wonderful hospital. I wish all the wounded a complete and swift recovery.”

The President also sought to rally the nation in a time of grief:

“We must be strong and understand we are going through a difficult period. In the end, we will emerge from it, just as we have in the past. Our victory is in continuing our lives, our routines, despite everything and against all odds.”

Closing his remarks, Herzog offered condolences to the bereaved families and a prayer for the hostages:

“I hope for better days, and with all my heart I pray that we will see all the hostages home.”

The visit underscored Herzog’s message: even in the darkest days, Israel’s resilience and unity are the truest answer to terror.
