Israel Imposes Sanctions on Families, Villages of Jerusalem Terrorists

Defense Minister Israel Katz orders demolition of illegal structures and revokes 750 work permits for relatives and villagers connected to the Ramot Junction attackers.

In the wake of the Jerusalem terror attack that killed six Israelis, Defense Minister Israel Katz on Monday directed sweeping civil sanctions against the terrorists’ families and villages.

Katz instructed authorities to:

  • Demolish illegal structures in the attackers’ home villages.
  • Revoke 750 work and entry permits granted to relatives and residents of those areas.

The move follows recommendations from the security establishment and COGAT chief Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian.

Overnight, IDF troops entered the villages of Qatanna and Al-Qubeiba to map out the homes of Mohammed Taha and Mutna U’mar, the two Palestinian terrorists behind the Ramot Junction massacre.

The sanctions underscore Israel’s policy of extending consequences beyond the perpetrators to their immediate environment — a strategy aimed at deterrence as the security situation intensifies across Judea and Samaria.
