Confession Revealed: Suspect in Charlie Kirk Murder Said He Killed Out of “Hate”

Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the killing of pro-Israel conservative activist Charlie Kirk, confessed in chilling messages to his partner — admitting he acted out of “hate” and tried to cover up the murder weapon. Prosecutors will seek the death penalty.>

The investigation into the assassination of pro-Israel activist Charlie Kirk took a shocking turn after authorities obtained messages sent by suspect Tyler Robinson to his partner, Lance Twiggs. In the exchanges, Robinson confesses to the killing, describes his motive, and details efforts to hide the murder weapon.

Confession in His Own Words

Robinson told Twiggs:

“I am still ok my love, but am stuck in Orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn’t be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.”

When Twiggs asked, “You weren’t the one who did it right????” Robinson chillingly confirmed, “No… I had planned to grab my rifle from my drop point shortly after, but most of that side of town got locked down.”

As for motive, Robinson admitted:

“I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

Cover-Up Attempt

Robinson described trying to recover his rifle, wrapped in a towel and abandoned in nearby woods. The weapon was later found by investigators along with live rounds and spent casings.

He expressed fear of forensic evidence:

“I worry about prints… only thing I left was the rifle wrapped in a towel.”

He even confessed to engraving vulgar messages on bullets, including one reading: “Hey, fascist, catch!”

Public Confession Online

Hours before his surrender, Robinson reportedly posted in a Discord group:

“I have some bad news for you. It was me at UVU yesterday. I’m sorry for all of this.”

Death Penalty Case

Robinson has been indicted on seven counts, including:

  • Murder under aggravated circumstances
  • Illegal possession of a weapon
  • Obstruction of an investigation

Utah’s district attorney confirmed the state will seek the death penalty.

Why This Matters

Charlie Kirk, a prominent conservative voice and outspoken defender of Israel, was targeted for his beliefs. Robinson’s own words expose the motive: pure ideological hatred.

This was not just a murder — it was a political assassination fueled by anti-Israel bigotry, the very type of extremism Kirk warned about.
