In an exclusive with Arutz Sheva, US Ambassador Mike Huckabee condemned false claims against Israel, rejected Palestinian statehood, and reaffirmed unwavering US-Israel ties.
In a sweeping interview with Arutz Sheva-Israel National News, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee addressed the assassination of American conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the war in Gaza, and the international push for a Palestinian state—making clear that Washington’s commitment to Israel remains unshakable.
Huckabee forcefully condemned fringe accusations that Israel had any role in Kirk’s murder: “This is a blood libel. It’s absolutely disgusting and vicious… people will believe the most outrageous lies, but I’m glad Prime Minister Netanyahu confronted it.”
He praised Kirk’s legacy, recalling him as a civil and courageous voice whose assassination had “awakened a sleeping giant in the United States—conservatives and moderates alike—who understand you don’t kill someone for what they say.”
On Gaza, Huckabee underscored President Trump’s firm stance: “He wants all hostages freed, not a few. Hamas cannot govern, they’re done. He doesn’t make empty threats—just ask Iran.”
Turning to the looming Palestinian statehood bid at the UN, Huckabee dismissed it as a “diplomatic stunt” with no legal standing:
- It violates the Oslo Accords.
- It offers no realistic governance or reforms.
- It has only backfired by strengthening Israel’s position.
“The direct result of this nonsense talk from the Europeans and the PA,” Huckabee explained, “is that it really gave Israel a sense of, ‘If you’re going to do this—we might as well declare sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.’ That’s not what Macron or the British intended—but that’s what they’ll get.”
He clarified that Israel’s recent Doha strike on Hamas leaders was unilateral and did not damage US-Israel relations. “If Trump were so upset, why is he inviting Netanyahu back to the White House more than any other world leader? The bond remains strong.”
On the Abraham Accords, Huckabee warned against tying normalization to Palestinian statehood: “If people insist on a Palestinian state, I want to know—where, who governs, what culture, what curriculum, and will they continue calling for Israel’s destruction?”
Closing with a Rosh Hashanah message, Huckabee offered a heartfelt prayer: “Let’s hope the new year brings all hostages home. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, so every mother can put her children to sleep without fear.”
The ambassador’s remarks leave no ambiguity: the United States stands firmly with Israel, rejects terror appeasement, and backs Israel’s right to sovereignty and security.
