Massive billboards and trucks around the UN and Times Square remind the world of Hamas’ atrocities as Netanyahu prepares to confront global leaders.
On the eve of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to the United Nations General Assembly, Israel has rolled out a powerful public diplomacy campaign in the heart of New York City.
Dozens of massive billboards and digital trucks encircle the UN building and blaze across Times Square, carrying a blunt, unforgettable message in English:
“REMEMBER OCTOBER 7.”
Each display features a QR code that, when scanned abroad, leads to a dedicated website documenting the barbaric atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023 — the day 1,200 people were murdered, 250 were taken hostage, and the Jewish state was plunged into war.
The campaign was organized by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Prime Minister’s Spokesperson’s Unit, with a clear mission: to remind world leaders and the global public of the unparalleled brutality of Hamas, which still holds 48 hostages captive in Gaza nearly two years later.
Israeli officials emphasized that the campaign is designed to break through the noise of diplomatic double-speak and international pressure, keeping the focus where it belongs: on the mass murder, rape, and kidnappings carried out by Hamas, and on the ongoing humanitarian crime of hostages denied freedom.
This public diplomacy push reflects a broader strategy during Netanyahu’s current U.S. visit — to confront attempts to whitewash Hamas and to counter growing international moves toward unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state.
As Netanyahu takes the podium at the UN, the streets of New York now carry Israel’s message in stark letters: Never forget October 7.
