Israel Honors October 7 Victims at UN: “Either the Easy Way or the Hard Way”

At a powerful UN event led by Ambassador Danny Danon, Israel and the U.S. vowed to bring every hostage home, celebrated the heroism of Israeli women, and warned Hamas it faces peace or destruction.

700 Gather at UN to Remember October 7

The Israeli Mission to the United Nations, led by Ambassador Danny Danon, hosted a moving commemoration of the October 7 massacre at UN Headquarters in New York. Over 700 guests attended, including dozens of UN ambassadors, diplomats, hostage families, and survivors.

U.S. Pledge: “Shoulder to Shoulder” with Israel

U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, delivered a heartfelt message of solidarity:

“I have a 21-year-old daughter and she looks up to the toughness of Israeli women… The United States stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Israel. Our work is not done and we will continue to fight until all the hostages are home.”

Danon: “Israel Will Finish the Job”

Ambassador Danon honored the courage of Israeli women during the attacks:

“On October 7, not only was the cruelty of Hamas revealed to the world, but also the heroism of Israeli women. In the face of terror and murder, they stood up like lionesses: they fought, saved, and protected. Here, too, in the lions’ den at the UN, we carry their spirit with us.”

Danon also linked the commemoration to President Trump’s newly unveiled peace plan:

“Yesterday, President Trump presented a roadmap to peace, which was accepted by Prime Minister Netanyahu. While Hamas is considering this proposal, they should know that we will bring all of them home! If they reject the plan, Israel will finish the job. Either the easy way or the hard way.”

Survivors’ Testimonies and Heroism

  • Noa Beer, survivor of the Nova Festival massacre, recounted her harrowing story.
  • Capt. (res.) Karni Guez, commander of the IDF’s all-female tank unit, shared how her soldiers fought off Hamas terrorists on October 7.

Their testimonies drew standing ovations.

Art and Spirit

The evening concluded with a performance by celebrated Israeli singer Dikla, weaving music into memory and resilience.

The Message from New York

The commemoration at the UN was not just about remembrance — it was a declaration: Israel will never be subdued, the hostages will come home, and Hamas will face defeat.
