As Israelis prayed on Yom Kippur, Hamas terrorists unleashed rockets at Ashdod—Israel’s Iron Dome stopped mass bloodshed and devastation.
On Yom Kippur—the holiest day of the Jewish calendar—Hamas terrorists once again revealed their contempt for human life and holiness.
At approximately 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday evening, air raid sirens shattered the stillness in the city of Ashdod and surrounding communities. Residents reported explosions as Israel’s Iron Dome air-defense system raced into action.
The IDF Spokesperson confirmed that Hamas terrorists launched five projectiles from northern Gaza into Israeli territory. Four were heroically intercepted by the Iron Dome, while the fifth fell in an open area. Miraculously, no injuries were reported.
Earlier in the day, at around 2:00 p.m., Hamas had already provoked Israeli border communities with another barrage. The IDF later confirmed that two additional projectiles crossing from northern Gaza were intercepted by the Israeli Air Force.
This was not only an act of war—it was a deliberate desecration of Yom Kippur, a day of prayer, reflection, and peace for Jews worldwide. Hamas yet again demonstrated its barbaric disregard for civilians, sacred traditions, and international law.
While Israel’s defenses prevented a massacre, the message is clear: Hamas continues its genocidal campaign, choosing to target civilians on the holiest of days. Israel remains resolute—its people will not be terrorized, its faith will not be broken, and its enemies will not succeed.
