Terror group Hamas conditions hostage talks on Israel releasing the bodies of Yahya and Mohammed Sinwar — a demand Jerusalem refuses outright.
In a shocking new demand, the Hamas terror organization has reportedly insisted that Israel release the bodies of its slain leaders, Yahya and Mohammed Sinwar, as part of any future prisoner exchange, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing Arab mediators.
Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the October 7th massacre — the bloodiest assault on Jews since the Holocaust — was released by Israel in the 2011 “Shalit deal.” After orchestrating mass murder, kidnappings, and the devastation of southern Israel, his reign of terror came to an end. His brother Mohammed subsequently took command but was also eliminated in Israel’s relentless campaign to dismantle Hamas’ leadership.
Israeli officials have reportedly rejected Hamas’ demand outright, emphasizing that the Jewish state will not reward barbarism or glorify mass murderers. For Jerusalem, the priority remains the safe return of Israeli hostages and the complete eradication of Hamas’ terror infrastructure, not symbolic victories for extremists.
The demand once again exposes Hamas’ warped priorities — obsessed with preserving the legacy of its dead warlords rather than alleviating the suffering of Gaza’s civilians or releasing hostages.
🇮🇱 Israel’s position remains clear: No deals that honor murderers, no concessions to terror. The Sinwar legacy will remain buried — along with Hamas’ failed empire of blood and hate.
