“Trump Slams Ilhan Omar: ‘She Should Go Back!’ — President Blasts Anti-Israel Congresswoman Over Somalia Remarks and Hamas Sympathy”

Donald Trump reignites his criticism of Ilhan Omar after she calls Somalia “our home,” accusing her of disloyalty and anti-Israel bias as outrage over her pro-Hamas rhetoric resurfaces.

Trump Blasts Omar’s ‘Somalia Is Our Home’ Speech

US President Donald Trump unleashed a fiery rebuke of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Truth Social Saturday, after a video emerged showing Omar addressing a rally in Minnesota where she referred to Somalia as “our home” and its president as “our President.”

“She should go back!” Trump wrote — a blunt echo of his past clashes with Omar and her fellow far-left “Squad” members, known for their hostility toward Israel and America’s allies.

💥 “I Told Somalia’s President — Maybe He’d Like to Take Her Back”

Trump reminded reporters that his frustrations with Omar are not new. “You know, I met the head of Somalia,” Trump recalled earlier. “And I suggested maybe he’d like to take her back. He said, ‘I don’t want her.’”

The President’s comments followed Omar’s years-long record of inflammatory statements — from antisemitic tropes about the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC to blatant deflections for Hamas and Hezbollah.

🕎 A Pattern of Anti-Israel Provocations

Omar’s hostility toward Israel has been a consistent feature of her political career:

  • 2019: Omar accused American lawmakers of supporting Israel “because it’s all about the Benjamins,” drawing widespread condemnation for antisemitic undertones.
  • 2021: She compared Israel and the United States to Hamas and the Taliban, prompting bipartisan outrage.
  • 2023: Omar retweeted a fake photo of dead children, claiming they were victims of an Israeli Air Force strike — the image was later proven to be from Syria’s Assad regime nerve gas attack.
  • She also blamed Israel for the Al-Ahli Hospital explosion in Gaza, which was confirmed to have been caused by a misfired Islamic Jihad rocket.

Each time, Omar issued half-hearted apologies before quietly deleting her posts.

🚨 Capitol Hill Confrontation Turns Ugly

In November 2024, Omar again drew attention when pro-Israel demonstrators confronted her in Washington, demanding she condemn Hamas’s October 7 atrocities.

Carrying Israeli flags, protesters shouted: “Why do you stand with Hamas? Why don’t you condemn them?” One told her, “Go to Gaza, sweetheart.” Omar snapped back with an expletive — “F* you!”** — before disappearing into an elevator.

The video went viral on X, fueling outrage and further isolating the Minnesota congresswoman.

🛡 Trump: Standing With Israel, Calling Out Hypocrisy

President Trump has consistently defended Israel and denounced antisemitism in all its forms. His administration recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, brokered the Abraham Accords, and restored moral clarity to U.S. Middle East policy.

By contrast, Omar’s rhetoric — often indistinguishable from Hamas talking points — has alienated even moderate Democrats.

Trump’s latest remarks underscore his campaign’s stance that anti-Israel extremism has no place in the halls of Congress, and that those who glorify enemies of the Jewish state “shouldn’t be representing America.”
