TRUMP CELEBRATES MASSIVE UN VICTORY: ‘BOARD OF PEACE’ APPROVED AS ISRAEL REAFFIRMS TOTAL REJECTION OF PALESTINIAN STATEHOOD”

Trump hails UN approval of his Gaza plan as historic, while Israel rejects any pathway to Palestinian statehood despite global support.

In a triumphant and characteristically explosive statement, US President Donald Trump on Monday celebrated the sweeping approval of his 20-point Gaza plan at the United Nations Security Council—calling it one of the “biggest approvals in the history of the United Nations.”

Posting on Truth Social, Trump announced that the UN had effectively endorsed the creation of a “BOARD OF PEACE,” which he will personally chair, alongside what he described as “the most powerful and respected leaders throughout the world.”

“Congratulations to the World… This will lead to further Peace all over the World, and is a moment of true Historic proportion!”
President Donald Trump

Trump extended gratitude not only to the 13 Security Council members who voted in favor—including France, the UK, Algeria, Denmark, South Korea, Guyana, Pakistan, Panama, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Somalia, and Greece—but also to countries outside the Council that played a decisive role in pushing the plan forward: Qatar, Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Türkiye, and Jordan.

Only Russia and China abstained, allowing the measure to sail through.

What the UN Endorsed: Trump’s Vision for Gaza

The resolution lays out three major pillars of Trump’s sweeping regional strategy:

  1. An international force to stabilize Gaza
  2. The disarmament and dismantling of Hamas
  3. A controversial “pathway” toward a Palestinian state

It is the third point that has ignited intense backlash inside Israel.

Israel Pushes Back: ‘Our Position Has Not Changed’

Despite Washington’s diplomatic celebration, top Israeli ministers immediately blasted the clause referencing Palestinian statehood.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking Sunday, reiterated his government’s absolute and long-standing opposition:

“Our opposition to a Palestinian state on any part of this territory has not changed in the slightest.”

Jerusalem’s stance is unwavering:
No Palestinian state west of the Jordan River—ever.

While the U.S. and several Arab capitals have embraced the resolution as a breakthrough, Israeli leaders warn that any political track toward Palestinian statehood risks rewarding terrorism and destabilizing Israel’s security.

Trump Promises More Announcements Soon

In his post, Trump added that the members of the newly formed Board of Peace will be unveiled in the coming weeks—hinting at major geopolitical moves ahead.

With America’s diplomatic machinery fully aligned behind Trump’s Gaza plan and Israel holding firm on its red lines, the coming days promise intense strategic negotiations and global attention.
