Jewish groups condemn grotesque blood libel display as pro-Palestinian extremists normalize Nazi-era hatred.
Jewish organizations across the United States expressed outrage Thursday after a grotesque anti-Israel display at Washington, DC’s Union Station revived one of the most poisonous antisemitic lies in history: the blood libel.
The “performance,” orchestrated by well-known pro-Palestinian Arab agitators, depicted American and Israeli leaders supposedly “drinking the blood of Gazans.” Activists wore masks representing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former President Joe Biden, and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Drenched in fake blood, they sat at a table set with mutilated doll limbs, dripping faux organs, and glasses of red liquid—using Israeli flags as napkins.
A massive “menu” titled “Israel’s Friendsgiving Dinner” listed items such as “Gaza children’s limbs,” “stolen organs,” “illegally harvested skin,” and “Gaza’s spilled blood.” It was a scene straight out of medieval Europe and Nazi Germany—yet it unfolded in the heart of America’s capital.
The American Jewish Committee condemned the display with force:
“Blood libel was on full display today in Washington. This is the revival of one of the oldest and most dangerous antisemitic tropes in history.”
The AJC stressed that such myths fueled expulsions, pogroms, torture, and massacres of Jews for centuries.
The Anti-Defamation League called the display “abhorrent,” emphasizing that the performers deliberately reenacted classic antisemitic iconography—fake organs labeled “harvested,” blood-filled cups, and a ritualistic feast designed to dehumanize Jews and Israelis.
The Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington issued its own blistering statement:
“Steps away from the heart of American democracy, a scene suitable for Nazi propaganda unfolded. We have rarely witnessed such a vile, full-throated expression of antisemitism.”
According to social media posts and local reporting, the spectacle was produced by prominent pro-Palestinian Arab activists—figures who have been at the center of Washington’s anti-Israel mobilization. Their message was unmistakable: demonize Israel, dehumanize Jews, and normalize medieval hate under the guise of “activism.”
In the midst of skyrocketing antisemitic incidents nationwide, this blood-soaked display demonstrates how far anti-Israel extremists are willing to go—and how urgently American society must confront the radicalization taking place under the banner of “pro-Palestinian protest.”
