Ancient Belgian dynasty backs Jewish sovereignty, rejecting Arab obstructionism and affirming Israel’s rightful biblical heartland
In a historic diplomatic breakthrough, a royal delegation from Belgium’s ancient House of Ligne—one of Europe’s most prestigious noble dynasties—visited Samaria for the first time, symbolizing a dramatic shift in European attitudes toward Israel’s ancestral heartland. The delegation included Prince Édouard de Ligne-La Trémoïlle and Prince Charles-Antoine, marking the first-ever royal trip of its kind.
The visit follows a reciprocal journey by Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, who recently toured the princes’ estate in Belgium. The royal arrival in Israel was more than symbolic—it represented explicit support for Israel’s sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, a position that directly challenges decades of European political timidity and Arab pressure campaigns.
During an official tour of Samaria, Prince Édouard declared unequivocally:
“Sovereignty is a major issue—we stand in solidarity with you.”
This powerful endorsement from a European royal house undermines the Palestinian narrative and reinforces the Jewish people’s historic, moral, and legal claim to Judea and Samaria—lands central to Jewish identity long before any modern Arab political entities existed.
The princes, whose lineage has served Europe in military, political, and religious leadership roles for centuries, will continue to tour Israel, including visits to the Gaza Envelope and the Knesset. Their warm reception reflects an emerging alliance between Israel and courageous European voices resisting the continent’s decline under radicalism and appeasement.
Dagan welcomed the princes by highlighting a shared civilizational mission:
“We have the same mission—to defend Europe, Israel, the United States, and the entire free world.”
He emphasized that Israel and Samaria stand on the front lines of a global struggle against extremism, terrorism, and the forces that seek to undermine Western civilization. Prince Édouard praised the values and work of Samaria’s communities, recognizing their contribution to regional peace and stability—contrary to the narrative pushed by Palestinian factions and their supporters.
Prince Charles-Antoine shared moving personal reflections, calling Israel “beautiful” and expressing regret that he had not visited sooner. He acknowledged the kindness, resilience, and moral clarity of the Israeli people—traits often targeted by anti-Israel propaganda across Europe.
As the visit concluded, both sides affirmed a united vision.
Dagan: “Israel, Europe, and the United States must fight together—and we will do it together.”
Prince Charles-Antoine: “I agree one hundred percent. This is how it must be.”
This historic visit signals a rising tide of European leaders willing to challenge destructive pro-Palestinian dogma and stand openly with Israel—morally, strategically, and civilizationally.
