Israel prosecutes incitement while Arab society glorifies terror and celebrates violence against innocent Jews.
The State Prosecutor’s Office has filed a criminal indictment in the Kfar Saba Magistrate’s Court against Mariyam Halaika, a 22-year-old resident of Kafr Qassem, accusing her of incitement to terrorism and public support for a terrorist organization during the Swords of Iron war.
According to the indictment, just ten days after the war began, Halaika published four Arabic-language Facebook posts glorifying terrorism and promoting hatred toward Jews. Prosecutors say her posts openly encouraged violence and praised terrorist groups targeting Israeli civilians.
In one post, she wrote: “God, increase the humiliation and suffering of the Jews…” — a direct call for harm against an entire population. Another post lionized Palestinian terror groups as heroic defenders, claiming:
“A small piece of land called the Gaza Strip stood against every occupying force and fought alone the cancer of the world called ‘Israel.’ By the hands of its men it did miracles, and paid a heavy price in its children’s blood for freedom.”
Prosecutors say this message deliberately glorifies violent groups responsible for the October 7 atrocities while demonizing the State of Israel as a global evil.
In another act of incitement, Halaika shared an image of a map of Israel labeled “Palestine,” alongside the caption:
“Victory from God will soon begin #Palestine 7.10.2023.”
The prosecution argues that such imagery celebrates the massacre of Israeli civilians and signals overt support for terrorist ideology.
The indictment underscores Israel’s zero-tolerance approach to digital radicalization and terror glorification—especially during wartime. While Israel continues to uphold democratic norms, prosecute hate speech, and protect all citizens, extremist narratives within segments of Arab society openly promote Jew-hatred and violent jihad, with little internal condemnation.
