Arab mobs storm Israeli homestead as settlers survive coordinated assault while IDF response falters again

Israeli families endure another Arab onslaught while attackers escape untouched and security forces hesitate.

Dozens of Palestinian Arab rioters from Kadum and Beit Lid launched a violent, coordinated assault on the Shirat Zion homestead near Kedumim on Thursday, storming the site with stones, clubs, and deliberate destruction. Residents say the attack was sudden and organized, with the mob advancing up the slope in a formation clearly meant to overwhelm the farmers who live there.

As the Israelis called IDF forces and attempted to hold their ground, a second Arab group circled behind them, infiltrated the residential section, and vandalized structures and equipment. The attackers fled immediately afterward—without a single arrest—reinforcing what locals describe as a growing pattern of immunity for Arab aggressors.

This latest assault follows a string of escalating attacks over the past two months: arson targeting homes and tents, desecration of tefillin and holy books, and a brutal ambush on a resident who suffered a head wound and required hospitalization.

Shirat Zion, established in memory of Second Lieutenant Shir Hajaj, murdered in Jerusalem in 2018, has become a repeated target of hostile Arabs seeking to drive Jews from the area. Residents bitterly note that they often face eviction and detention by Israeli authorities themselves—even as the Arab attackers act with impunity.

“We warn the army every day,” the homestead residents said, “but the threats are ignored until we are attacked. Today ended with only minor injuries by miracle alone. It is time the system stops treating Jewish residents as the problem and starts confronting the Arab enemy attacking us relentlessly.”
